History of Marinara Sauce
The origins of marinara sauce can be traced back to the coastal regions of Italy, particularly Naples, where it was first created by fishermen who sought a simple yet tasty accompaniment for their meals.

Traditionally, this sauce is made from a base of ripe tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and fresh herbs, reflecting the abundant local produce and the Mediterranean diet.

The name "marinara" is derived from the Italian word "marinaro," meaning "seafaring," which suggests that the sauce was originally prepared by sailors returning from the sea.

Over time, marinara sauce evolved, incorporating various regional ingredients and techniques, leading to its widespread popularity not only in Italy but also around the world.

Today, it serves as a versatile foundation for numerous dishes, from pasta to pizza, embodying the rich culinary heritage of Italian cuisine.
