India is the jewel in the crown when it comes to spice , with dishes like lentils , Rice and Whole-wheat Flour being part of the staple diet. But Indian cuisine is far more complex than many people realise , with many unique regional foods the choice is vast.
Indian Regions include : Andhra and Pradesh , Assam , Delhi , Goa , Kerala to name just a few. Each one of these regions has it's own unique cuisine.
Some authentic Indian dishes include : Bisi bele bath - A dish from the Karnataka region , and is made with lentils , rice & vegetables.
Other regions produce dishes like Saday , Rogan josh , Rajam-Chawal and Pork Vindaloo.
Since Indian cuisine has been introduced to the Western world it has undergone a transformation in order to appeal to the Western pallet. it is fair to say that the Indian food we are used to is not all there is to it... Not by a long way.
So we are going to try and introduce a few authentic Indian dished as well as show you how to get to grips with a few of the more familiar dishes.
